Yo-get-it’s, Yo-get-FIT kicked off last Saturday the 14th of November. A group of keen guys and girls met up at 8am for a 45-minute boot camp session with Emily Hearn, a personal trainer at Absolute Fitness. We met at Kurrawa Park, next to the Surf Club on the Broadbeach foreshore.

Emily was a great motivator and had set up a circuit that included a wide range of physical activities that focused both on strength and endurance. The short two-minute bursts of intense activity were followed by sets of burpees and squats between each station – so you were constantly working hard.

Emily helped to motivate and train the group as a whole, but was also able to spend time with individuals to correct technique and inspire to push yourself.

The session ended with everyone pretty beat and definitely ready for a well-deserved acai bowl across the road at Yo-get-it Broadbeach.

The group of us sat and chatted and ate our delicious acai bowls, which were the perfect way to end the workout. Made with coconut water and fresh strawberries and banana you felt refreshed, revitilised and ready to take on the weekend. What an awesome way to start the day!
